Portfolio : The Alternative Print
An Alternative Print is an odd term as it describes printing processes from the earlier days of photography, ie pre darkroom or digital. One could argue that these ‘newer’ process are the alternative kids on the block.
Essentially we are describing images created using various chemicals coated onto art paper and exposed to ultra violet light, more often good old sunlight typically Cyanotypes, Vandyke Brown, Salt Prints, Platinum/Palladium etc..
Shown here are is a sample of my work over many years of playing with the processes.
