Life drawing has been part of my creative process for many years both as an artist and a sitter where working on both sides of the easel has been a significant help to myself as a person and my work as an artist.

As an artist I would work from a live sitter ie from life whenever possible however many artists like myself may work from a reference image when models are not available.

I first sat for a class many years ago which has been an extremely rewarding experience enabling a true sense of empathy with a model when drawing from life.
